Come join our volunteer group "Burakan Mates"

You can participate even without knowledge of birds

Burakan Mates is a volunteer group managed by the "Buratto Kansatsukai" (Walkaround Observation Group). The group is formed by members interested studying about the living things in Yatsu-higata and birdwatchers. Our group is very relaxed and open. You are welcome to participate just on your free time. At our Observation Sessions, members of the Burakan Mates take on various roles. Besides observing wild birds around the Yatsu-higata, we also explain how to use binoculars and explain different kind of birds depending on the season. The roles do not necessarily require knowledge of wild birds. Do not worry if you are not familiar with wild birds. If you are interested, please feel free to join us at any time.

On the last Saturday of each month, the members gather to attend study groups called "Voluntary Burakan" or "Voluntary Bura-Course" to up grade the knowledge of the Observation Group and members.
