Supporting the Yatsu-higata Day
Yatsu-higata was designated as one of Ramsar Convention Wetlands on June 10, 1993,
recognizing Yatsu-higata as a precious natural asset and to promote coexistence
between the city and nature through cooperation between citizens and the city administration.
Thus June 10th was established as "Yatsu-higata Day".
Every year on this day, entry to the observation center is free of charge,
and large-scale events are held so that visitors will get to know the Yatsu-higata
and have fun at the same time.
The Yatsu-higata Day event is planned and operated by the Yatsu-higata Day Operating Committee,
in which also participates Yatsu-higata Youth, Junior Rangers, Observation Center Volunteers,
Tsudanuma High School, neighborhood associations, and members from the local shopping center.
Here we introduce some of the support activities carried out by the Observation Center Volunteers.
Event Support: We handle all the essential tasks required
for event operations. We work hard behind the scene to support the event.
