The Yoshizu Group (Yoshizu = Reed Screen) conducts activities to spread the understanding of the properties of reeds and ways to utilize them through the process of making reed screens.
Our activity day is the fourth saturday of every monnth.
Our annual summer activity
the "Reed Screen Making Workshop"
is an important activity for which we prepare daily.
The reed, that we reap in autumn of the former year, is stacked until March of next year
so that it dries thorouly, then from April, we work on cutting and peeling the reed.
We are recruiting members willing to work with us. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
